Who is behind Diamonds Jewelry Store?

Diamonds Jewelry Store was founded by Antoinette Rachelle a woman who believed the fine jewelry industry was long overdue for a rethink. She built this brand on three uncompromising principles: that diamonds should be accessible to everyone, that every piece should carry real meaning, and that luxury shouldn't cost the earth.

We're a modern, online-first jewelry house which means no showroom markups, no gatekeeping, and no pressure. Just beautiful diamonds, ethically made, offered honestly.

Why should I buy from you instead of a traditional jewelry store?

Traditional jewelry stores carry significant overhead rent, staff, display cases, and multiple layers of middlemen all of which inflate the price you pay for the diamond itself. We operate online and import directly, which means those savings go straight to you.

Beyond price, we offer something most boutiques can't match: full transparency on sourcing, a genuine bespoke design service, and a team that takes the time to guide you without commission-driven pressure

Are your diamonds certified?

Yes. Every diamond we sell natural or lab-grown comes with certification from internationally recognized grading laboratories, including GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and IGI (International Gemological Institute).

These certificates verify the stone's cut, colour, clarity, carat weight, and origin. You'll never be asked to take our word for it.

Do you have a physical store I can visit?

We are proudly online-first it's central to our ability to offer exceptional value without the overhead of retail premises. However, we offer virtual consultations via video call where you can view diamonds, discuss designs, and get personalised guidance in real time.

For bespoke commissions, we walk you through the entire process remotely, from initial brief to finished piece. Many of our clients tell us it's the most personal jewelry buying experience they've ever had.

Do you offer resizing or repair services for jewelry?

Yes, we provide resizing and repair services for our jewelry pieces. If you need your ring resized or any other repairs, please contact our customer service team, and they will be happy to assist you.

What is your return and exchange policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your jewelry, you may return it within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Please refer to our Returns and Exchanges policy on our website for more details.

Our Diamonds

What are the 4Cs and why do they matter?

The 4Cs are the universal language of diamond quality — developed by the GIA and used by every serious jeweler in the world. They are:

  • Cut — The most important C. A well-cut diamond reflects light brilliantly, regardless of other grades. This is what makes a diamond sparkle.
  • Colour — Graded D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). For most buyers, a grade of G–H offers an excellent near-colourless appearance at a smarter price.
  • Clarity — Refers to internal inclusions and external blemishes. "Eye-clean" (VS2 or SI1 in most cuts) means no flaws visible to the naked eye — and often the best value.
  • Carat — The weight of the diamond. Bigger isn't always better — a well-cut 0.9ct can outshine a poorly cut 1.2ct. We'll help you find the balance.

Our advice:Prioritise Cut above all else. It's the one thing no certificate can take away from you.

Which diamond shape is right for me?

Diamond shape is deeply personal — it's the first thing anyone sees, and the most enduring element of the piece. Here's a quick guide:

  • Round Brilliant — The most popular shape. Unmatched sparkle, timeless, flattering on every hand.
  • Oval — Elongates the finger beautifully. Offers near-round brilliance with a distinctive feel.
  • Emerald / Asscher — Step-cut; understated, architectural, and sophisticated. For the minimalist.
  • Pear / Marquise — Bold and elongating. A confident, modern choice.
  • Cushion — Soft corners, romantic feel. One of the most searched shapes today.
  • Princess — Square, sharp-edged, contemporary. Strong and sleek.

Not sure? Our team is happy to walk you through it, book a free consultation and we'll help you find your shape.

What metals do you use for settings?

We work with the finest jewelry metals across our collections:

  • 18k Yellow Gold — Rich, warm, and currently having a major resurgence. Pairs beautifully with warmer-toned diamonds.
  • 18k White Gold — Crisp and modern. Note: white gold is rhodium-plated and may need re-plating every 1–2 years to maintain its bright finish.
  • 18k Rose Gold — Romantic and flattering on all skin tones. A contemporary classic.
  • Platinum — The premium choice. Naturally white, incredibly durable, and never needs replating. Worth the investment for everyday pieces.

We can advise on the best metal to complement your chosen diamond and lifestyle. Custom pieces can be made in any of the above.

Are your natural diamonds ethically sourced and conflict-free?

Absolutely, and this is non-negotiable for us. Every natural diamond we carry is fully conflict-free and sourced in strict compliance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), the international standard for preventing conflict diamonds from entering the supply chain.

We go further than the minimum. We work exclusively with suppliers who share our values around ethical sourcing, fair labour practices, and environmental responsibility. If we can't trace a stone's origin, we don't carry it.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes, completely and without qualification. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. They are pure carbon in a cubic crystal structure, they score 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, and they sparkle in exactly the same way.

The only difference is where they were created: a controlled laboratory environment rather than deep within the earth. Even a professional gemologist with specialist equipment cannot tell them apart without checking the certification.

Worth knowing: Even the FTC (US Federal Trade Commission) has confirmed that lab-grown diamonds are genuine diamonds and should be described as such.

How are lab-grown diamonds made?

There are two main methods used to grow diamonds in a laboratory:

  • HPHT (High Pressure, High Temperature) Replicates the conditions deep within the earth. A carbon seed is placed under extreme pressure and heat until a diamond forms around it. The original method, still widely used.
  • CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) A diamond seed is placed in a chamber filled with carbon-rich gases. Microwaves ionise the gases, and pure carbon slowly crystallises onto the seed. This method allows for greater control over the final stone.

Both produce genuine, certified diamonds. The process takes weeks, compared to millions of years underground but the end result is the same brilliant stone.

Why are lab-grown diamonds less expensive?

The price difference comes down to supply, not quality. Natural diamonds are rare and costly to mine their price reflects geological scarcity, mining operations, and a long chain of handlers before they reach you.

Lab-grown diamonds can be produced in controlled quantities, which significantly reduces cost. This means you can often get a larger, higher-quality stone for the same budget without compromising on beauty, durability, or certification.

For many of our customers, this is the whole point: getting the extraordinary piece they want, honestly priced.

Are lab-grown diamonds a good choice for an engagement ring?

For many couples, they're the ideal choice. A lab-grown diamond engagement ring offers everything a natural diamond ring offers the same brilliance, the same hardness, the same emotional significance often at a fraction of the price.

That price difference can mean a significantly larger stone, a more elaborate setting, or simply the ability to buy a beautiful ring without financial strain. We believe the meaning of an engagement ring comes from the intention behind it, not the geological age of the stone.

Our view:There is no right or wrong answer. We'll help you explore both options and find what feels right for you without pressure or judgment.

Custom & Bespoke Design

Can I design my own ring from scratch?

Absolutely and it's one of our favourite parts of what we do. Our bespoke design service allows you to create a piece that is entirely unique to you: your stone, your setting, your metal, your story.

You don't need to arrive with a finished design. Many clients come with nothing more than a feeling a mood board, a Pinterest image, or a vague sense of what they want. Our design team will help you develop and refine the concept from there, guiding you through every decision.

How it works: Discovery call → Design brief → CAD rendering → Your approval → Crafting → Delivery. We'll keep you involved at every stage.

How long does a custom piece take to make?

Most bespoke pieces take between 3 to 6 weeks from confirmed design to delivery, depending on complexity, the setting type, and stone sourcing requirements.

For engagement rings and other milestone pieces, we strongly recommend beginning the process at least 6–8 weeks before your intended date. This gives ample time for design revisions, crafting, and any sizing adjustments without rushing what should be an enjoyable process.

If you have a specific deadline, please let us know upfront and we will always do our best to accommodate you.

Can you recreate or redesign a family heirloom?

Yes and we consider this one of the most meaningful things we do. Whether you'd like to reset an existing stone into a new setting, restore a worn piece to its former glory, or reimagine a heritage design for the modern wearer, our team has the expertise to bring it to life.

We ask that you share clear photos and any relevant history of the original piece during your initial consultation. The more we understand the story behind it, the better we can honour it in the new design.

How much does a custom piece cost?

The cost of a bespoke piece varies depending on the stone selected, the complexity of the setting, and the metal used. However, because we work direct and without showroom overhead, our custom pieces are consistently more affordable than equivalent work from a high-street jewelry

We work with a wide range of budgets and will always be transparent about costs before any work begins. There are no hidden fees and no surprises. During your consultation, we'll map out your options clearly so you can make a confident, informed decision.

No obligation: Your initial design consultation is completely free and comes with no commitment to proceed.
